Material grade cross-reference
Find the matching grade across EN, UNS and ASTM, JIS and Indian standards for the copper, brass and aluminium in electrical parts, with the properties that matter.

Closest commercial equivalents. “No direct equivalent” means no exact published grade in that standard. Chemistry and property limits differ slightly; the drawing's standard governs.
How this is calculated
Standards covered
EN 13601, EN 12163 and EN 573; ASTM B187 and B221; JIS H3100 and H4000; IS 191 and IS 5082.
What the table is for
It is a first cross-reference, not a substitution approval. Chemistry, temper and property limits differ between standards. The drawing's standard governs.
Property values
Density and conductivity are typical minimum values for the grade. Confirm the exact temper and mill certificate before release.
Can I substitute one grade for another?+
Only after checking the drawing standard, the temper, the conductivity, the mechanical properties and the application. A cross-reference is a starting point, not an approval.
Why is the conductivity a minimum?+
Electrical conductivity is normally specified as a minimum for the grade and temper. The mill certificate gives the actual value for the lot.
