From feasibility to on-time supply

  1. Manufacturing feasibility

We read the drawing, align with you on design feasibility and manufacturing process before quoting.

    DFM notes

  2. Transparent pricing

Quote shows the price breakup - conversion, tooling, packing, freight, and the raw material at a stated basis date.

    Unbundled quotation

  3. Quick prototype builds

We try to build quick prototype without the need of tooling wherever possible, so you can assess the sample fitment and function before committing.

    Samples to test

  4. APQP & first piece

We utilize APQP frameworks to develop your part and provide full PPAP documentation, including measured first articles, to guarantee production readiness.

    PPAP pack

  5. Mass production

The part is manufactured in the exact same facility that built your approved first article, ensuring the quality you signed off on is the quality delivered at scale.

    Batch records

  6. On-time supply

Packed to a stated standard, shipped to your Incoterm, cleared out of India by us.

    Written dispatch approval

An engineer on the floor for every first dispatch.

We do the slow, hands-on work ourselves. It is how we know what each plant can really hold, and why we can carry the quality risk instead of passing it on.

  • Plants qualified on site

Machinery, calibration records, metrology, traceability and spare capacity checked in person before a factory makes any part for you.

  • Every drawing read by a person

An engineer reviews each drawing and writes the DFM notes: what can be held, what cannot, and what it costs to hold it.

  • First article witnessed

We are in the plant when the first parts come off the line, measuring them against your drawing before you approve.

We work as your procurement arm in India

A procurement team on the ground, without you registering an Indian company, hiring locally, leasing an office or creating a permanent establishment. You buy on one service agreement, in your own jurisdiction, and the local presence is ours.

You place the order with us and we carry the complete responsibility for deliver quality passed material on-time in-full. We make some parts in-house and have partner facilities for the rest. If required, you may audit the facilities under a non-bypass agreement, or buy from it directly by committing a fee on the procured value, in which case we do not carry quality or fulfillment responsibility.

  • No Indian entity to register
  • No local hiring or office lease
  • No permanent establishment

Why India

USD 122.43bn

Engineering goods are India's largest merchandise export

A record USD 122.43bn last year, and 27.7 per cent of everything India sells abroad.

The clusters already serve electrical OEMs

Pune, Bangalore, Nashik and Noida supply electrical equipment makers today.

The United States is about sixteen points lighter from India

About 18 per cent against China's 34 to 47. Section 301 is charged on where the part is made.

China plus one is now a policy position

Tariffs, export controls and supply shocks have turned a second origin into a requirement rather than a preference.

Stamped parts, terminals and busbars cost less from India than China

On these three the conversion cost has moved India's way.

2027

The EU carbon charge turns on supplier data

Aluminium parts carry a charge from 2027. Suppliers who can evidence emissions keep the bill down.

What we do with it

One quotation carries the price and the duty, and we hold the emissions data your EU buyer will need.

Your questions answered

Anything else, write to contact@qumek.com.

Do I have to register a company in India?

No. We work as your manufacturing and sourcing partner in India, so the local facility and talent are ours. You require no Indian entity and local employment on your side. You purchase on one service agreement in your own jurisdiction.

Will you tell me who actually makes my part?

You place the order with us and we carry the complete responsibility for deliver quality passed material on-time in-full. We make some parts in-house and have partner facilities for the rest. If required, you may audit the facilities under a non-bypass agreement, or buy from it directly by committing a fee on the procured value, in which case we do not carry quality or fulfillment responsibility.

How do you choose the factory, and how do I know it is capable?

We only work for a limited scope of offerings with our established partners, and we do not scale our partner network to product verticals where our know-how of the product or partner reliability is limited. We carry out extensive process audits before qualifying a partner.

Are you compliant with RoHS and REACH?

Yes. Our supply is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the necessary declarations and traceability are provided.

What quality standards do you follow?

Qumek delivers diligent quality control and assurance. We hold ISO 9001:2015 QMS and our manufacturing partners hold AS9100 Rev D, ISO 13485:2016, and IATF 16949:2016.

Can you build the whole assembly, or the whole product?

Yes. Send the assembly drawing or the finished product specification, and we manufacture it, test it and ship it ready for your label. You do not need a contract manufacturer on top of a parts supplier.

We are being asked to add a second source. Are you set up for that?

That is the work we are built for. Adding a second source usually means finding a factory, auditing it and qualifying the part again. We identify and qualify the supplier, and we carry the prototype and the production run, so the qualification happens once instead of twice.

How do you mitigate risk for failing commitment for your supply?

We usually distribute manufacturing volumes across at least 2 facilities for higher volume requirements, or as per customer need, to mitigate risks and follow strategic sourcing practices.
