A procurement team in India, without an Indian entity.

You need a presence in India, not another introduction to a supplier. We act as your procurement arm: we find, qualify and manage the supplier, hold the drawing, and ship the parts under one service agreement in your own jurisdiction.

  • No Indian company, office lease or local hire
  • Supplier identification, qualification and tracking
  • One contract in your jurisdiction

Why this service exists

Buying one part from India is manageable. Running a programme across several suppliers is not: the audits, the follow-up, the language, the documents and the time difference become a job. Most mid-market buyers cannot justify an office to do it.

We are that office without the entity. You buy from Qumek under one agreement. We identify and qualify the supplier, negotiate on one format, control the drawing and the dispatch, and carry the quality and delivery responsibility for the parts we supply.

The four functions

Supplier identification

We shortlist Indian manufacturers on process capability first, then on price. Where no supplier fits, we develop one rather than force the part into the wrong factory.

Qualification

Machinery, quality system, calibration, metrology, material traceability and spare capacity are checked before a factory is approved for your programme.

Negotiation

Every supplier quotes on one format, so unit price, tooling, packing and freight are comparable. The metal is quoted at a stated basis date where the part is metal-linked.

Shipment tracking

The order, the inspection, the export documents and the freight are tracked to the Incoterm you choose. You get one status, not six.

How the arm works

One agreement, one point of contact, one accountable route.

01

Scope

We agree the parts, the drawings, the volumes, the quality documents and the delivery terms. The scope is one service agreement, not a chain of suppliers.

02

Source and qualify

We identify and visit the supplier, check the process and the quality system, and confirm capacity against your volumes.

03

Sample and approve

Samples and a first article report go to you for approval. Production does not start until the part is approved.

04

Produce and ship

The batch is inspected, the dispatch pack is prepared, and the parts ship to your Incoterm with one set of records.

What you send

  • The drawing or the bill of materials.
  • The annual and call-off volumes.
  • The quality documents your customer or auditor requires.
  • The delivery market and the Incoterm.

What you get

  • A qualified supplier and an approved sample.
  • One quotation format with metal, conversion, tooling and freight separated.
  • One inspection record and one dispatch pack.
  • One contract and one point of contact.

Limits, stated plainly

  • We are not a commission agent. We sign for the part, the price and the paperwork.
  • The default is that you order through Qumek and we carry the quality and delivery responsibility. The direct route is a separate agreement and carries no quality or fulfilment responsibility on our side.
  • We do not claim an overseas entity, office or phone number. The local presence is in India.

Where it fits

The service is used with these products and the tools that support the drawing.

Questions buyers ask

Do we need to register a company in India?+

No. You buy from Qumek under one service agreement in your own jurisdiction. We hold the local supplier relationships, the inspection and the export side. You do not need an Indian entity, an office lease or a local hire.

Can you source parts outside our product range?+

Yes. The procurement arm exists for the rest of the bill of materials. We identify and qualify Indian suppliers for parts outside our own range, hold them to your drawing, and ship their parts with the rest of the order.

Who is responsible if a sourced part is wrong?+

When you order through Qumek, we carry the quality and delivery responsibility. The direct route is different: if you choose to buy from the factory directly under a procurement fee, we carry no quality or fulfilment responsibility.

How do you choose a supplier?+

Capability first: machinery, quality system, calibration, metrology, material traceability and spare capacity against your volumes. A supplier that cannot show capacity headroom does not get the programme, however good the price.

Can you act as a second source?+

Yes. An approved Indian source for a part you already buy elsewhere is one of the clearest reasons to use the arm. It reduces single-factory and single-country risk without asking you to build an Indian operation.
